Greg Raymer
Greg Raymer is better known as Greg “Fossilman” Raymer and a part of the Team PokerStars pros, which is a far place than his education should have led him. His education is one that is basically a double major and something that few people accomplish; he has a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Missouri, an M.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Minnesota and a J.D. from that university.
In his childhood his family moved several times and when he completed college he went to work as a patent attorney and worked for a large litigation firm in Chicago 3 years, another firm in San Diego for 3 years and then for Pfizer Inc., which moved him to Stonington Ct.
This would be where he began to play poker more often and at Foxwoods Casino he became one of the best known tournament players.
Today he is well known both online and off line at casinos, online he is part of the Team Poker Stars and is also a paid representative, so this is the most likely place to find him playing online poker.
His nickname “Fossilman” comes from this collecting of fossils and his use of them as card protectors during poker games and tournaments.
