Default Going Out On The Bubble

You may not have a bad beat in the hand when it happens, but when you go out on the money bubble, it feels like a bad beat. Just one more player and you would have at least got something back for the time you put in. Whether you went out first or on the bubble you get the same amount - ZERO.

I've been out on the bubble before, luckily not for a long while.

ahhh!! This is the worst. You play solid poker for a few hours. Win pots. Read people. Then either blinds eat you up or your short stacked so you're force to shove. Either way....no money. Hours of playing with no payoff.

Yeah, it's rough playing and going out with nothing. Also when it gets close to the bubble you have to wait for hands to be completed. So many people are trying to stall so they make the money. Maybe they should offer a bit more to someone who goes out on the bubble and possibly more short stacks will take a chance and it would make the game go faster.

Yes i hate when players have a big stack and just wait out the rest of the bottom players to get knocked out. But when i do the same thing...its pretty cool! lol O well its poker. I recently had to take most of my BR out because i had to pay some bills but when i deposit some more money in a few weeks, im gunna hit the tables real hard. Maybe we can hit em together.

It's definitely not fun not making it into the money of a tournament whether it's being knocked out first or going out on the bubble. I try not to put myself in the position of being short stacked at the bubble. I try and build a big stack early.

MY worst bubble experience was in a $5000gtd x $5.50 F/O on Microgaming about a week ago..

THREE solid hours of ABC Poker and I find myself slightly above average stack with two players to go before the cash, and I am dealt AA in mid position..
A super shortstack goes for it and goes all in for 12k chips and the bigstack calls him instantly. (NO Re raise to Isolate so I put him on a MIddle pair or Big A)..

Thinking I have the best hand preflop and only up against these two I go ALL-IN and cross my fingers..
Bigstack instantly calls and we turn our cards..

I have AA
Shortstack has 88
Bigstack has AQh

Needless to say my aces were busted by an 8 on the turn and I BUBBLED with no cash

i can safely say that iv not been bust many times on the bubble as i do tend to tighten up a lot regardless of how big my stack is

but i do know how it feels to be playin for 4/5 hrs then bubble then u start to think is it all worth it

a few weeks back i was in the $5k GTD on stars i bubbled the FT ok i cashed but FT was big cash but i was happy with the way i played

its the worst feeling in poker you may have played for hours to get there and be so short stacked you at somew point know you must go all in. But as the saying goes you may as well have gone out first as finished in the bubble position.
