Default Quads beating Quads

The worst bad beat I ever took in my poker history was getting beat holding quads. I had a pocket pair and flopped the quads and was looking to get some more chips into the pot for a hand I figured was mine.

My opponent also had a pair and caught something on the flop, which was good news for me since he now had a full house to my quads, but the river gave him his 4 of a kind.

OUCH!

You win that hand maybe 95% of the time. Sometimes that 5% bites you in the rear! You just have to keep composure and stay away from going on tilt. Those hands hurt. I usually walk away for a while, especially if it was a big pot.

Hey, it's poker and you have to take the good with the bad. You don't expect to lose with that hand and when it happens it's a shocker.

I've seen 4 of a kind get beat plenty of times over the years. I've seen plenty of other bad beats as well.

Checking out some high stakes poker action and I've seen a few bad beats there. Now losing that kind of cash on a beat would cause me to bust a few blood vessels.

Wow! Jamie Gold got lucky there and Antonius made a good decision to run it 3 times instead of just 2.

That is some crazy cash being thrown around there. I guess when you are Jamie Gold and the all time tournament money leader you can do that.

I must say, Antonius is as calm as I have ever seen anyone when they lose like that.

yea Jamie's the biggest tournament winner yet he's still somewhat of an amateur because he hasn't been in the game very long. Antonius took the beat like a champ.

Do you call it a bad beat for Antonius though???

I think it was because what are the chances of Jamie pairing the board two out of three times????

That last minute decision by Antonius to run it three times saved him about 200k
