Erick Lindgren

Erick Lindgren plays at Full Tilt Poker. His nickname is E-Dog.

Erick Lindgren was one of poker's original “Young Guns” because of having achieved success at an early age. He is now considered a veteran.

Lindgren was born California in August 1976. While studying at Butte Junior College he came across the Colusa Indian Casino and began to spend more and more time there. He began to work as a blackjack dealer at the casino and soon dropped out of the college to play poker. At about this time he began to play poker online, sometimes in eight games at a time. Because of his aggressive style of playing online he was given the nickname E-dog.

In 2002 Lindgren moved to Las Vegas and immediately won the main event of the Bellagio Five Diamond Poker Classic with a prize of $230,000. In 2003 he won the World Poker Tour UltimateBet Poker Classic II in Palm Beach. In 2004 he won the heads-up play in the PartyPoker Million III Limit Hold'em Cruise. He was given the WPT Player of the Year award for 2004. He followed this up with several successes in the next two years. In fact he got his only success at the WSOP in 2006 when he was placed second in the $5,000 Short-Handed No-Limit Texas Hold'em event. Till the end of 2007 his live tournament winnings were in excess of $5.5 million.

Lindgren has written the popular book World Poker Tour: Making the Final Table. This book outlines strategies for poker tournaments. He is also a member of the team that runs Full Tilt Poker.
