Mac Users Beware Not all Poker Sites are the Same
Ever since online poker became a big hit in 2004 things have changed. One thing that’s gone through the ups and downs is poker players who use a Mac. The poker rooms that work on a Mac are different than the regular software.
Things have improved ten fold in 2007 with many of the major poker rooms discovering the hidden market share. The latest site to do so was Pokerstars in 2007/2008 which launched a full marketing campaign for players on Macs. Many people ask, “What are pokerstars.com marketing bonus codes.” They simply allow users to get bonuses and allow poker stars to see where the player came from. With the expansion of Poker Stars growing to the largest poker room, they’re sure to capitalize on the majority of the Mac user market.
The sites that are using Java have somewhat become less popular as time goes on. The no download software tends to be more popular these days with people who are just lazy and don’t feel like downloading more slow-loading software on their computer, or want to play from work. :)
Full Tilt still stands tall and at this point in time has the most Mac users of any site. Their strong “poker pro” presence attracts many users but their download Mac software does too. They also launched a hefty marketing campaign with referral codes found at Fulltilt poker that allow their players to get $600 bonuses.
Party Poker had a very large chance to gain all of Macintosh users when they produced a nodownload and a download software that worked on Macs. Too bad it was too late, because around this time the UIGEA was coming into affect and Party Poker dropped US players. With the majority of Apple users coming from the US this crippled the chance of Party Poker becoming the next destination for Apple lovers. Full Tilt was loving this as they remained open to the US.
The future is still uncertain as laws may change in the United States. Land based casinos may one day open up their own internet poker sites if the laws allow them to, but for now things will remain the same. It will be interesting to see how it all unfolds.
